Hello free readers!👋🏼 It’s been a time, but spoiler for my paid tier readers: I figured out all my summer jobs so lol. Despite last year’s activities, it doesn’t seem I’ll be fucking off to France for 3 weeks any time soon though I’m always VERY VOCALLY open to it at any time.

Anyway-it’s warm, it’s summer, PSG won a 2nd Champions League in a row & I’m more than prepared to be a demon once again when France wins their 2nd World Cup in a row.🤪 While my game day reservations have already been set, I still have some seats open & am more than willing to abandon everything for irl tix in case anyone reading has an extra tysm. Am I slightly terrified for my life as a NYer who mostly works in Manhattan that the Knicks are going to win?

Yes, but even though I’m not a basketball girly, I’m gonna be pissed if they don’t at this point. I’ve already bought my materials for my Lola Cep inspired celebration outfit!!!

for the non-cinema lovers: this is Lindsay Lohan as Lola Cep in one of her most important films- Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen. Give it a watch ASAP if you haven’t!

I found my song of the summer back in November thanks to Lydia Getachew’s incredible mind. “Elizabeth Taylor” is in my top 3 of TLOAS songs despite my one sided beef with Taylor over the music video (to be possibly unleashed at a later time). Lydia’s mash up of Taylor Swift’s “Elizabeth Taylor” with the Backstreet Boys’ “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)” is a fucking BOP that felt criminal to hear in the month of November, but ‘tis the damn season right NOW to listen with the spritz bevy of your choice!

If I’m asked to provide a song and/or playlist at any point this summer, there’s a very good chance this song WILL be heard!

If you’re curious as to how I personally felt about the LIRR strike resulting in me taking/waiting for the bus for way too long at Main Street after 11pm 2 nights in a row, here ya go:

Luckily all that’s over with for now! Hopefully there aren’t any more historic strikes on the horizon, though considering the fascism, it wouldn’t really surprise me. I’ll be back with more posts soon & as much was I usually do try to be more active here, it seems it’ll be easier being in one place for longer…
