It’s June! It’s Pride Month🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️! Summer’s around the corner, but the vibes aren’t SUPER high considering Pride was a riot kicked off by trans women of color yet too many governments want to erase them from history as well as the present.🙃😒 Despite all of ~the horrors~ there’s still some fun to be found so I’ve decided to share some of the music I’ve been enjoying lately that may not all become my top summer jams of the year, but at least bring some fun.

Palm of Your Hand by Comanavago (feat. Kenan Kián)

This song popped up on a playlist curated for me by Apple Music, but I’ve been having fun getting into the duo COMANAVAGO ever since. Would recommend for a summer/warm weather party playlist that probably has a fun theme even if it’s not technically during a holiday.

Walk of Fame by Miley Cyrus (feat. Brittany Howard)

Out of 1 full listen through of the new Miley Cyrus album Something Beautiful, this was one of the top songs I’ve been going back to because it’s just fun & iconic. After listening through I’m even more intrigued by the movie that’ll be coming out to accompany it! And hopefully bring more clarity on some of the interludes. Would recommend for a pick me up and/or long walk playlist.

Leave Me Alone by Renee Rapp

I’ve been a fan of Renee Rapp’s since Sex Lives of College Girls & really loved her 1st EP Everything To Everyone. With this song as the 1st single for her next album, I’m really excited for it! Would add this to a getting ready and/or going out playlist any time of year.

DELUSIONAL by Kesha

As I’ve said here before, this is a pro Kesha substack & this has been my favorite Kesha single so far. Though I did really like JOYRIDE. I always love listening to a new Kesha album & this single has made me more excited for it. Would put this on a pick me up and/or bad bitch playlist any time of year, but this needs to be playing in outdoor bars!!!

Sunshine & Rain… by Kali Uchis

While this is a completely different vibe from the rest of the songs listed here, I like a lot of what Kali Uchis has done. While I wouldn’t put this on a particularly ~summery~ or party playlist, it’s a nice vibe nonetheless! I would however put it on a relaxing and/or journalling playlist.
